L.P. Grant Mansion Guided Tour

Lemuel Pratt Grant built a three story Italianate structure in 1856 with his first wife Laura L. Williams. The house served as a hospital during the Civil War, is the birth place of golfer Bobby Jones and was once owned by Margaret Mitchell. This house tour imparts Grant’s contributions to the City and the history of the house which was Atlanta’s most endangered historic building until the Atlanta Preservation Center purchased it in 2001. 

This tour is being given for free in conjunction with B*ATL events that educate people about the Battle of Atlanta. To learn more please visit B*ATL's website at
