HerStories: The Women of South-View

Enjoy a guided walking tour and performance at Historic South-View Cemetery, founded in 1886 by formerly enslaved African Americans. The HerStories tour will visit the gravesites of many of the remarkable women interred at South-View including Jennie C. Williams, grandmother of Martin Luther King Jr. and first lady of Ebenezer Baptist Church, and Adrienne Herndon, Shakespearean actress and designer of the Herndon Home which is now a National Historic Landmark. Historic figures will be portrayed by members of the Kuumba Storytellers of Georgia.
