Academy of Medicine Tour

The Academy of Medicine, designed by Georgia Tech graduate Philip Trammell Shutze, has graced the corner of West Peachtree and 7th Streets since 1941. A history of the building will be given by Marilyn Somers, director of the Georgia Tech Living History Program, followed by a talk about the sustainability efforts employed in the recent restoration.

Georgia Tech Living History Program

The Georgia Tech Living History Program was founded in 1994 and conducted its first interview on July 11 with Robert Morris, EE 1944. Its mission is to collect, preserve and present the history of the Institute through the stories of her people.
