Help a Child Discover Atlanta

May 14, 2012

Would you like to help a disadvantaged youngster take advantage of APC’s Summer camp?

Last year, The Atlanta Preservation Center’s Summer Camp attendees included seven young people from the Atlanta Mission Homeless Shelter whose tuition was paid by generous contributions.

As a result of that rewarding experience, this year we will dedicate all ten spots to children from the Atlanta Mission. Our goal is to provide a positive, thought provoking, unique experience that will also be fun, educational and memorable. We want these children to discover Atlanta’s rich history, architecture and culture through hands-on learning and field trips.

We ask for your help in making this week-long camp possible through a sponsorship. The $275 tuition for each child includes meals, snacks, drinks, materials for activities and admission into sites.

Or, a gift in any amount will help to cover our transportation for the week, which will be a rented van that will allow the camp to visit diverse sites and neighborhoods throughout Atlanta.

Contributions can be made by check mailed to APC or online by clicking the Donate button on the top right of the page.
