On Friday, April 19, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm, the Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council will offer a guided walking tour of the Sunset Boulevard Historic District. This tour was originally scheduled as a part of the Decennial Phoenix Flies but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.

According the Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council “the more you know the more you grow.” So take this opportunity to learn about Sunset Boulevard,Atlanta’s most recently designated Historic District. This was the home of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his family when they moved back to Atlanta in the 1960s. The area was also home to other leading figures of the Civil Rights Movement.

Reservations are not required for this event. Meet at 715 Martin Luther King Dr SW, 30314. This is the parking lot behind Murrell’s Café at Scholars.
